I see vivid images. To me, fragrances unveil themselves, at first, as clear scenes out of a movie. They unfold as visions, in not one, but many frames per second. Imagine you are a film director that has a clear view of what the atmosphere of a new movie should be.
When the experience is impactful enough, I sometimes imagine a soundtrack, a dialogue, the colours of the character’s clothes, the texture of objects in the scene.
I am a cinematographer
& I find inspiration in the olfactory realm.
What I do
MOOD FILMS
Being a cinematographer, fond of storytelling, I instinctively fell the need to create videos that convey the mood and visions I get when trying exciting fragrances, into vivid, moody films. This is what I am specialised in.
This is what I love to do.

With this blog, I try to translate into words experiences I have with those fragrances that triggered strong experiences in me, when I first tried them.
INTERVIEWS
I am also an avid traveller. I never miss a chance to go on trips, and whenever I find myself in sync and in the same place with people from the fragrance industry that I admire, I never miss the opportunity to say “Hi” and maybe do a video interview with them, if they’re available and are cool with the idea.

The views expressed in this blog (in my articles, videos, images or audios) are my own, honest opinions. As I always said, when I like something, I will tell you I like it. When I don’t like it, you won’t read about it here, since I do not create materials based on things I don’t like.
The purpose of this blog is for me to create materials based on how they make me feel, so if I don’t like them, they won’t inspire me. If I am not ispired by a fragrance, then it won’t lead to any creative materials. If I were to do reviews in exchange for money, even if I don’t like a product, that would ultimately lead to hating what I do. I want to treat this passion just as it is – a passion that does me good, that helps me stay creative and inspired. I do not aim to become a fragrance influencer. I do look forward to working with perfumers to create cinematic footage that serve as ads or mood videos for their fragrances, but not bought reviews.
I would never accept money in exchange for reviews. Since I am a cinematographer, I do accept to work on commission to create ads for fragrances, but not reviews.
I do not accept to receive fragrances for free in exchange for a positive and good review. If I like the fragrance, I will write about it on my own terms. This is what this blog is for – writing or creating videos for fragrances I like. So it will happen naturally.
If I don’t like it, I won’t create based upon it. The only context in which I will write about a fragrance I do not like, is if I receive a discovery set and I will go through all of the samples in it. If I come across one that does not resonate with me, I will say it like it is.
The idea is that sending me a fragrance does not guarantee a review nor the creation of a mood video or photosession. Sending me a discovery set does not guarantee an article in the “On Sets” category. If I resonate with at least 40% of the creations in the discovery set, then I will probably write about it on my own, since this is the purpose of my blog – writing about what I like. It will also happen naturally 🙂
My blog is not created for bashing or trash-talking fragrances, perfumers or houses. I will only talk about the things I enjoy, and it’s a place for positive, creative stuff.
